The September 16, 1999 issue of the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine reported that
soaking in hot tubs can lower high blood sugar levels caused by diabetes,
a disease that affects 15.7 million Americans.

Researcher Dr. Philip L. Hooper informed the Journal about a small pilot study, conducted by
the Mckee Medical Center in Loveland, Colo., that suggested soaking in a spa for
